HAVE A PRAYER REQUEST?

CALENDAR

I’m calling for a challenge that’s going to create an opportunity for intentionality and stamina.
1 • Students (you can even make it a family thing) read 2 chapters of the book of Luke each day. Read it in a version you can understand. The point is to comprehend what is happening. Understand the Word of God. My preference is ESV or TLV, and for new readers reading independently the Word: NLT.
2 • Pray for 30 minutes each day. Set a timer if you need to in order to be accountable. What will you talk about for 30 minutes? Break it up. Get a plan so you don’t fade out in 3 minutes. Here are some great ideas for prayer:
• Praise Him. What is He worthy of?
• Thank Him. What are you thankful for? What have you seen Him do in your life?
• Ask Him to show you anything in you that is offensive to Him. Ask Him to purify your heart.
• Repent of anything that He would call sin.
• Ask Him to renew your mind. Transform your heart even more. To think like Him. To love like Him.
• Is there anyone that you need to forgive?
• Ask Him if there’s anything He would like for you to do doing for Him?
• Ask Him to give you wisdom.
• Ask Him to help give you the strength and grace to obey all His Word and follow Him, even if it seems there’s a lot of people around you who are not.
• Tell Him He’s worthy of your love. And if you’re new to meeting Him and in relationship with Him, you might not love Him very strong yet - so ask Him to help you love Him like He deserves.
• Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you, anything He wants to say. Write it down.
